On the RUBY catalyst
Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores S.A. and Albemarle developed the RUBY catalysts family to meet the needs of refiners processing light feeds and aim at maximizing liquid fuels production in operations requiring low delta coke.
Processing vacuum gasoils and light residues requires an active catalyst, having fair accessibility and an optimized matrix system to enable high bottoms conversion. The RUBY catalysts were designed for meeting this demand! These catalysts are produced through advanced technologies providing quick diffusion of the feed molecules to the catalyst active sites and make easier the products outlet, securing the bottoms selective cracking and minimizing secondary reactions.
As a result of their functional qualities, the RUBY catalysts also have superior coke selectivity and wide flexibility of the formulation window, covering several production objectives and being a proven high performance solution for light feeds processing units.
