FCC S.A. strengthens socio environmental actions through an environmental recovery project and reforestation

The FCC S.A. Abílio Faia Forest Garden, launched in 2000, is the successful result of an initiative supported by the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), the aim of which is the recovery and reforestation of the area close to the Company. The project has already donated more than 164,000 seedlings up to July 2021 and this figure is ever increasing.

Besides seedling donations, in 2005 the Forest Garden started an Environmental Education Program directed to the students of the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Teaching Network that, up to December 2019, received over 7,000 visitors including students and teachers.

FCC S.A. believes that socio environmental education and awareness should pervade all of the business production chain and stresses its commitment with Sustainability by supporting initiatives that add value to the Company as well to society.
